I finally did it! I smiled at Mommy! She was holding me in her lap and kissing my hands and telling me that it was time to start smiling. All of the sudden this big smile broke out across my face and I made a really happy cooing noise. See, cause I made a happy noise she knows it wasn't just a gassy smile! Of course I wouldn't do it again and Mommy always says it doesn't count until she sees it twice, but she has agreed to call it an "emerging skill" since it was such a cute smile.
